Boothstown Businesses Together

Boothstown Businesses Together is a group of local businesses that have come together to add events for the local community. At one of the meetings, the idea of a mobile app was raised so I decided to create one using React Native. 

I have done some work with React Native in the past but never created and published my own app so as well as helping Boothstown Businesses, it was a good exercise in Expo and ReactNative.

The app is a very simple business ( and POI ) directory. Businesses are split into categories and the user can select each business to see a description of them. When they see something of interest, they can go to the map tab where their location is displayed on a map along with a pin showing where the business is located. 

The map page also includes links to social media sites for the businesses and buttons to phone or email the business from within the app.
